The National Commission for Cultural Heritage is launching a new project titled “Following the Footsteps of Emigrant Creators: Culturally Significant Heritage of Lithuania in France.” The aim of this project is to highlight and present important Lithuanian cultural heritage sites and figures in France through the U-Paveldas database.
The initiative is part of the ongoing Lithuanian Season in France, which aims to introduce contemporary Lithuanian artists to the French public. Notable figures such as sculptor A. Mončys and diplomat P. Klimas have left their mark in France, and Paris is the final resting place of Sofija Tyzenhauzaitė and Oskaras Milašius and others.
