On October 7th, we celebrate the 33rd anniversary of Lithuania’s membership in UNESCO. This day reminds us of the newly revived Lithuania that became part of the global community. This year’s commemoration holds even greater significance, as in 2023, Kaunas’ modernist architecture was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. This is already the fifth Lithuanian value to be included in this list
We can take pride in the fact that, compared to other Baltic states, Lithuania has the most heritage values inscribed on international UNESCO lists. This is not only an honor but also a great responsibility!
