  • The study of resonant constructions in Vilnius cultural heritage objects has revealed systemic wounds in heritage preservation

The National Commission for Cultural Heritage analyzed the processes of highly controversial construction projects in the Baroque ensembles of Vilnius. The conclusions state that the conflicting situation was caused by systemic issues in heritage preservation, with the most significant being legal deficiencies, inconsistent actions by responsible institutions, lack of principled approach, insufficient transparency in activities, and concessions to the interests of project developers. The Heritage Commission provided suggestions on how to improve the processes discussed in the investigation.
