On 25 October 2025, an event was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to the Kingdom of Sweden, organized by the Cultural Attaché together with the National Commission for Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Lithuania. During the event, the project “Map of Cultural Heritage Significant to Lithuania in the Kingdom of Sweden”, curated by the Heritage Commission, was presented. The programme also included presentations, a discussion, and a quiz.

“At this event, we presented for the first time the map of cultural heritage significant to Lithuania in the Kingdom of Sweden,” said the Chair of the Commission, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vaidutė Ščiglienė.
The results of the project will also be presented in Lithuania on 27 November at an event to be held at the Seimas Visitors’ Centre.
“The event will also include a discussion examining policies related to cultural heritage significant to Lithuania abroad, unresolved issues, and future opportunities,” added V. Ščiglienė.

The project is partially funded by the Cultural Heritage Department under the Ministry of Culture. It is implemented by the National Commission for Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Lithuania in cooperation with partners in Lithuania and Sweden.

Heritage Commission is an expert and advisor to the Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania, President of the Republic of Lithuania and to Government of the Republic of Lithuania regarding the national policy of cultural heritage protection, its implementation, evaluation and improvement.
