On November 22–23th 2016, Lithuanian National Commission for Cultural Heritage, aiming to create more effective strategy of heritage protection, arranged a scientific-practical conference „An advanced protection of architectural heritage. Is it mission (im)possible?” Although only one session was dedicated to the role of communities in the processes of heritage protection, but its importance was emphasized during all the sessions. The question how to involve the society in the heritage protection was essential.
