Municipalities are also responsible for the protection of cultural heritage objects. The main mission of the National Commission for Cultural Heritage is to participate in shaping the cultural heritage protection policy and strategy, to inform the Parliament, the President of the Republic, and the Government about cultural heritage protection issues, and to prepare drafts of laws and other legal acts related to cultural heritage protection.
