The 2017 European Heritage Awards Ceremony was held on 15 May at St. Michaels’s Church in Turku, Finland. During the event, European Commission and Europa Nostra organization presented the outstanding 29 achievements of cultural heritage preservation from 18 countries which were recognised for their notable achievements in conservation, research, dedicated service, and education, training and awareness-raising. The Lithuanian National Commission for Cultural Heritage was represented by its chairperson Evelina Karalevičienė.
The Lithuanian National Commission for Cultural Heritage it is a first institution from Lithuania which has joined Europa Nostra.
